Joining Cary Gastroenterology in 2001, Dr. Michael Brody is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He’s a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Education
Dr. Brody is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. He received his medical degree from the Thomas Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, PA, where he was awarded the Henry Keller Mohler Memorial Prize for as an outstanding medical student in Therapeutics. He then completed an internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson Medical College of Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Brody completed his gastroenterology/hepatology fellowship at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill, NC, with subspecialty training in esophageal disorders, including Gastroesophageal Reflux, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and disorders of the biliary tract.

Dr Brody does a great job of communicating, takes time with his patients and is very thorough. His nurse (Katie) does a great job as well. The entire experience was well done.
I have been going to Dr. Brody for over twenty years. He is one of my favorite physicians. Why? Because he truly listens and is patient, and asks a lot of questions to get to the root of your problem. Although I have had numerous "scopes" over the years due to my issues, he doesn't do them too often or needlessly. Prior to going to him many years ago, I had an awful experience with a procedure with another local gastroenterologist. In the recovery room, a nurse whispered in my ear, "Next time go to Dr Brody". Boy, am I ever glad I did. I find him kind and personable as well as being top notch in his field.
Dr. Brody and staff are always so pleased during visits. Takes the time to explain diagnosis and procedures and makes me feel informed of the care he will provide.
